ATM attacks fell by 46%, while cash losses linked to these attacks dropped by 63%. Bank robberies also decreased, with only two incidents recorded in 2025, compared with eight in 2024. The shift suggests that criminals are increasingly favouring remote digital attacks, which can be carried out without physically entering a bank or confronting security personnel.
