“Being able to be selected in intensive training on fact-checking is every journalist”s dream. I am grateful to CrispNG for the support ” he said.

“The first step toward success is taking when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself, to me, this is just the beginning, I learn many things during the training which include, who can be a fact-checker?, elements of fact-checking journalism etc.

“Fact-checking can be the act of checking factual assertions in non-fictional text in order to determine the veracity and correctness of the factual statement in a text which can be done either before or after the text has been published or otherwise disseminated.

“And also I learnt that a fact-checker must show allegiance to citizens by striving to put the public interest and the truth above their own self-interest or assumptions”.
