 Nigeria confirms 20 new cases of Coronavirus as death toll rises to 4

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control has 10:30 pm Friday night, confirmed 20 new cases of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country with 2 extra deaths, via its Twitter handle @NCDCgov.



Out of the 20 new cases, 11 was confirmed in Lagos, 3 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 3 in Edo, 2 from Osun and 1 in Ondo. This number brings total cases of the dreaded virus to 210 in Nigeria.
“Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 11 in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, 3 in Edo, 2 in Osun & 1 in Ondo.”

The centre also reported it has recorded two more deaths in Lagos and Edo states.



“Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State.”

This development brings the total number of active cases of the Coronavirus in the country to 185 as 25 initial victims have been confirmed well from the virus by the NCDC. However, the death toll has equally increased to 4.



The number of the new cases is believed to have doubled, following President Buhari’s live broadcast, Sunday, when he told Nigerians the number of cases was only 97.

The inclusion of Ondo state on the list brings the total number of states affected by the virus in Nigeria to 14
