 Nigeria confirms 22 new cases of Coronavirus — toll now 276

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night, reported 22 new cases of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.



A breakdown of the newly confirmed cases showed, 15 came from Lagos, 4 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, 2 in Bauchi and 1 in Edo state.

“Twenty-two new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo,” NCDC reported.



This brings total confirmed cases of the pandemic in the country to 276 out of which 44 persons have been discharged while 6 deaths have been recorded.



“As at 09:00pm 8th April there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fourty-four have been discharged with six deaths.”

Lagos now has a total of 145 cases, almost three times the number of Abuja which is at 54, followed by Osun 20.

These three states top the chart in Nigeria as states with the highest number of confirmed cases.
