Organiser: How Kizz Daniel refused to perform at Tanzanian show after collecting $60k

Stephen Uwa, a show promoter, has detailed how Kizz Daniel, the musician, allegedly failed to perform at his event in Tanzania after he paid him $60,000.

On Monday, the ‘Buga’ singer was arrested by police operatives in Tanzania for not performing at the show.

He was, however, released after a few hours in custody.

Speaking in an Instagram live session hosted by Daddy Freeze, the media personality, Uwa said the singer allegedly refused to perform at his event because of gold chain.

ā€œHe only said the airline didnā€™t bring his bag. That is why he could not perform because his gold chain is not there and he had a gold chain on his neck. He wanted everything,ā€ he said.

ā€œI bought him different clothes but he said just because the airline didnā€™t bring one of his bags, he cannot perform without his gold on his neck.

ā€œI spent nothing less than $300,000 on that show because it was a premium show, it was no joke. The table for that show was set for $5,000 and the highest table was set for $10,000.

ā€œMy company is new here (Tanzania). Paul O is the one I booked Kizz from. Paul O begged this guy ā€˜Please go to this showā€™. He called from America!

ā€œI paid this guy $60,000 to perform on this show. I went down on my knees. I was like ā€˜Bro, you are damaging me, Iā€™m a Nigerian. I am trying to build my company here. You are going to damage meā€™. I begged this guy ā€˜Save my career, save my lifeā€™. I was on the table with Kizz Daniel for like five hours begging him, kneeling for him.ā€
